We are proud to announce the newest release to our setworks systems lineup. It's been designed specifically for Set Shaft Carriages. Whether you cut grade, cross ties, pallet stock, or other blocking, the G402 is designed with your needs in mind. This system was built upon the same reliable platform as our most popular G401 system, which has been in operation for over 15 years. It is simple to learn yet has sophisticated onboard diagnostics and data logging for troubleshooting, as well as production recording. Some of the added benefits to the G402 include a larger 9.7 inch touchscreen HMI that utilizes the same display and processor found in iPads. It's much faster and has a crystal clear image with a wide viewing angle.
We are now including Blade Deviation Monitoring. This feature has proven valuable for both Circle and Band applications. It will detect, record and alert the operator of saw alignment issues, with audio and visual alarms, before damaging an expensive saw and/or lumber.
The G402 was designed to be easily installed on most single blade circle or band sawmill. The system can be used with existing hydraulic, pneumatic, or electric drive systems. It will work on conventional log carriages and on vertical and horizontal band saw carriages.
Installation usually takes less than a day, and can usually be performed by anyone with basic wiring skills. Some welding may be required to mount the sensor brackets. We include a detailed installation manual with instructions and diagrams to help make the installation as painless as possible.
We have many happy customers whom love the features and simplicity of G402 system. It monitors many aspects of the machine that can easily be used to help diagnose mechanical and electrical problem with equipment and components. The G402 now records more production information. This information can be reviewed later, printed, or downloaded to a USB flash drive. The G402 also sends notifications to the operator about the state of certain mechanical conditions, and alerts if problems are detected. These notifications are quite helpful at preventing mis-cut lumber, helping to prevent costly machine damage, and unnecessary down time. We are also now capable of sending software updates via a USB drive connected to the HMI.
